Applications & Interpretations
Applications and Interpretations, otherwise known as Mathematics, was an emotional rollercoaster. Despite the fact that I have always struggled with this subject, IB math demanded more than I thought. I was faced with intricate equations and pushed to explore beyond simplicity. Exams and quizzes were probably my worst nightmare, because I failed these more than I passed. I actually scored my lowest grade ever here with a 0.7; although it wasn't a pleasant experience, I decided to see the light in the darkness and opted to expand my creativity by leaving song lyrics and puns on my exams, in hope to get extra points. My best pun yet was "grades are just a number, but I think I'm a ten". I can't remember if I actually cried in an exam, but I always ended up laughing with Regina and Gagan about my epic math failure, so in a way it was a challenging but character building experience. Tears aside, I thoroughly enjoyed this subject, as I created wonderful memories, and made lifelong friends.

Trigonometry Functions - Sine Function "Tutorial" Video
Back when we were learning all about trigonometry, we were assigned a tutorial video assignment, where we had to explain the sine function and how it can be applied in an equation. Even though the video is 5min long, we filmed for about six to seven hours. Our final grade wasn't the best, but it was fun pretending we were youtubers for a day.

Mathematically Modelling my Scoliosis
Internal Assessment
For my Internal Assessment, I decided to use my Scoliosis x-rays, and create a sine function that fits my actual curve. It was very important to me that I did something that I was genuinely interested in and that in the end, I could be proud of. Connecting my Scoliosis with Math has given me a new perspective on math, because it truly is everywhere. This IA was sooo stressful, but I honestly really enjoyed it!

Future Me Flipgrid
During the first week of twelfth grade, we were assigned to do a flipgrid, where we recorded ourselves saying what we wished to tell ourselves at the end of our senior year. Just a week ago, Gagan made us do our last ever reflection, and made us watch the videos that we made. It was the most special project I've ever done.
