Biology SL
Throughout the two year course, I had the opportunity to deepen into my understanding of the human body, animals, plants, and all living organisms. This was done through an extensive amount of context, that required critical thinking, data analysis, and thorough comprehension of a broad amount of context. One of the things that I enjoyed most about this class, is the relationship between context and everyday life. My favorite thing was when we ended up relating something like enzymes to why lactose free milk tastes sweeter. Those realizations made biology very 'real', where I not only understood class context, but I further understood life in general.
Bio Journal
Every bimester, we were assigned a 'bio journal', where we were expected to write about what we learned after each class. This project aimed to help us make sure that we were actually paying attention in class, and were understanding class content. This being said, my journals ended up being some of my favorite assignments. I enjoyed going over what I understood, and it helped me understand what I wasn't able to grasp in class.

Mesocosm Project
When we were learning all about ecology and how plants and animals 'work', we were assigned the Mesocosm project. This project consisted on creating a an enclosed ecosystem that would provide the elements needed for plants and creatures to survive. Here, we reflected on the essentials for plants to survive, and seeked to make a thriving ecosystem. While creating my own mesocosm, I was shocked to find so many living animals in my backyard.

Biology IA - Discussion of results
For my IA, I answered the research question of "What is the effect of short bursts of exercise and time (30s, 60s, 90s) on blood pressure (measured by mmHg, both systole and diastole)?". In order to do so, I did an experiment on four participants due to covid times. For this piece of evidence, I will focus on the discussion of results of the IA.
